ALGIMOUSS develops chemical products that allow you to fight against the propagation of vegetal parasites and increases the lifetime of the materials of which your habitation comprises. Our desire is to design solutions that are always easier to use and respectful of the environment.
2008 : A growing reputation thanks to sports sponsorship
The appetite for challenge and competition form an integral part of our company! It is thus completely natural that we have made the choice of sport to grow our company. Firstly, we have associated ourselves with the wonderful adventure that is the Vendée Globe, then supporting the large teams in the region: SCO d’Angers and CB Cholet.
1978 : Inventor of anti-
green deposit treatments
In 1978, the company launched ALGIMOUSS onto the market, the first treatment to fight green deposits and lichens that invade our pavements, facades and terraces, also allowing the fight against the propagation of the micro-organisms that reduce the life span of the materials and harm the aestheticism of our habitations.
2001 : PREMAC becomes ALGIMOUSS
The success is so big that the company takes the name of the product. Thus, since 2001, it is with the name Algimouss that the company is known, not only by the general public and our retailers, but by all of the professionals who apply one of our solutions on a daily basis.
2013 : A new modern factory
Algimouss relocated to La Séguinière and built a factory with warehousing space and an automated production line to satisfy the growing needs of our clients. The factory is equipped with a research and modern development laboratory in order to invent the products of tomorrow, always greener and more effective.
2009 : A range of indoor floor products
The company is an expert in the field of interior floor maintenance. Algimouss also offers a range of products for the maintenance of tiles, marble and wax-treated floors. These products register in our values of products that are respectful to the user, base and the environment.
2017 :New regulation changes
The «anti-moss» products have entered into the category of phytopharmaceutical products, we are therefore no longer authorised to permit the terms «anti-moss» or «de-mosser», on our biocide products. It is why today we use the term «curative and preventative treatment » for our range of treatments.
2018 : A new biocide of natural origin
We are taking a further step towards environmentally friendly products. Our research and development laboratory has developed a new formula for our leading product Algimouss by adding a plant-based biocide aiming to meet our customers’ expectations.
2019 : Changing our visual identity
A new logo has been created, more streamlined and modern with the aim of rejuvenating the image of the Algimouss company. In addition, a variety of supports have been built to improve the understanding of our range (cleaners, treatments, protections and equipment).
2020 : Expanding ranges
Appearance of 4 new products in the catalogue, to continue to better meet the expectations of professionals and individuals: ALGI201, Alterra VERT, a loan to sell for the Special Painters Soaps 250gr and ALGIVOR.
2015 : Sprayers to apply our products
Constantly being in a process of innovation and research for practicality for our consumers, we have developed a range of sprayers to optimise and ease the use of our products. Thus, today we offer autonomous sprayers, electrical, adapted to everybody’s needs depending on their frequency of use and the complexity of the projects to accomplish.

We are proud to uphold French “savoir faire” with 90% of our production being completed on our territory. The structure allows us to have great control over the quality of products by testing all of our production and being very responsive to our customers.
We uphold the “made in France” by exporting in Europe to Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Italy and Spain and next we are counting on expanding our development to the United Kingdom.
Notre ambition : Limiter notre impact environnemental
From the beginning, Algimouss has worked on the formulation of its products in order to place the conservation of the environment at the centre of its concerns. Thus, we have committed to limit the concentration of hazardous raw materials in our solutions and to work with additives in order to optimise performance. It is why, the majority of our formulas are more than 90% biodegradable.
Additionally, we prohibit the use of chlorine because of its adverse effects on the flora and fauna and its corrosive effect on materials.
Finally, we endeavour to develop our solvent-based formulations by replacing them with aqueous phase products whilst ensuring an equivalent level of performance is maintained.
